TRIBO

Bringing the sunshine sound of Salvador-Bahia to European shores, TRIBO gives an exilerating performance every time. With its deep samba-reggae grooves and well known carnival classics, the dancefloor electrifies as the magicians of Bahia inspire all with their insatiable energy. With influences of Ile Ayie, Olodum, Timbalada & Carlinhos Brown, TRIBO is authentic Afro- Brazilian music and pure roots rhythm to the core.

Bringing the best of Salvador’s talent together in London, TRIBO is an authentic line-up of superb musicians – all established and recognised in Bahia having played with some of Brazil’s most famous groups. Having imported all instruments from Brazil, the surdos and timbals are traditionally handmade by the makers of Olodum and Timbalada with the repiques and baccarinas bringing in the high-hat trills and distinct samba-reggae rhythms and sound. The powerful lyrics play homage to the Orixas of Candomble as well as to the Pais Tropical of Brazil’s cultural capital, Salvador da Bahia. TRIBO is sunshine music for the soul - upbeat, happy, feet-tappingly magical and a pure vibration not to be missed.
