You don't need to watch the Carnival parade in Rio de Janeiro to discover that Brazilian men and women are considered to be some of the most beautiful in the world. It's a country filled with exotic, toned, golden-skinned, vibrant and self-aware young people. The catwalks of Paris, New York, London and Milan hold their collective breaths when the likes of Gisele Bündchen, Adriana Lima, Fernanda Tavares, Raica Oliveira or Alessandra Ambrosio swish by.
Every beach and every gym in the country is packed with pumping arms and sculpted bronzed torsos.
With such a large Brazilian community, the next Brazilian bombshell may be walking among us already, and we're making it our job to find them for you - it's a hard job, but someone has to do it! - by running our own beauty contest: MISS & MR BRAZIL UK 2008.
Organised by Jimmy Jam Productions, the competition is open to all jaw-droppingly beautiful Brazilian nationals resident in the UK and prizes are £2,000 for the winners, a round trip to Brazil to the Runners Up and £1,000 for the 3rd places.
