The below Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made by phone, email and online.
PLEASE NOTE THAT GUANABARA IS STRICTLY OVER 18'S ONLY. No exceptions. If you are lucky enough to look under 25, we are likely to ask you for I.D. We accept UK driver’s licenses, passports and photographic forms of internationally approved identification.
RESERVATIONS:
Guanabara opens at 5pm every day, and closes at 2.30am Monday to Saturday (midnight on Sunday). For special events we may be open till 4am; this will be specifically stated when available.
Restaurant reservations can be made from 5pm, with our last table reservation at 10.30pm. Our Kitchen closes at 11pm. Guanabara has bench seating, and you are likely to be sharing your bench with other parties. Large groups may be seated on multiple tables.
Due to high demand, dining reservations on either Friday or Saturday are allocated a comfortable two hours on the table, after which you are welcome to join us in the bar area. Reservations joining us from 8.30pm onwards will have their table for the whole evening.
All dining guests are required to order a main meal. Groups of 10 or more are required to dine from our set menu, and groups of 15 or more are required to place a pre-order from the set menu to aid the smooth running of your service.
Bar reservations can be made from 5pm, with the latest reservation time at 9pm. Due to the volume of guests in our venue, we cannot hold the table any later than 9pm. Our bar areas are for standing room with some seating, just a base for the evening.
If you are unable to find availability online, call a member of our team to check for last minute availability and we'll try to squeeze you in!
LATE ARRIVALS:
If you think you will be more than 15 minutes late please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to hold your table. Please note; if you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, we reserve the right to offer the table to a waiting guest. Your two hour seating will begin from your original booking time; unfortunately we are unable extend this as your table may be booked for other guests directly after your reservation.
DOOR CHARGES:
*Restaurant & Bar reservations are not excluded from our door charge, and are still required to pay at the door. Why not join us in the bar earlier to avoid the charge?
Monday: Free Entry
Tuesday: Free Entry
Wednesday: £5 after 9pm
Thursday: £5 after 9pm
Friday: £10 after 9pm
Saturday: £10 after 8pm
Sunday: £5 after 8pm
DEPOSITS & CANCELLATIONS:
On Fridays and Saturdays we require a deposit and our sales team will contact you once you have made your booking.
GUANABARA OPERATES A 48 HOUR CANCELLAION POLICY
Restaurant reservations of 15 or more on Fridays and Saturdays are required to provide a £5 per person deposit. All deposits are redeemed against your final bill on the date of your reservation. Should you wish to reduce the party size, or cancel your reservation, we must receive notice by email at least 48 hours prior to your reservation date to obtain a refund/ full deposit redeem.
FESTIVE SEASON (19th November - 24th December)
During the festive season we require a £20 per person deposit to secure your reservation. Please note, all deposits during the festive season are non-refundable, however fully redeemed on the night of your booking. All restaurant guests are required to dine from our Christmas menu.
PAYMENTS & SERVICE CHARGE
A discretionary service charge of 12.5% will be added to your final table bill. Should you have any discrepancies with your bill, or wish to remove the service charge, please bring this to the attention of a manager on the evening, as we will not rectify any errors once payment has been taken.
Guanabara uses ‘Sage Pay’ to transaction or hold your card information. This system is regulated by PCI DSS and once processed; your card information is not visible to anyone.
