MONOBLOCO have built up a remarkable reputation over the last 6 years on Rio’s Carnival scene. Their annual Pre-Carnival parties gathers 4,000 people a night, and their annual street parade brings amazing 50,000 people to the beaches of Leblon & Ipanema every year. From the producers of City of God the highly-anticipated follow-up CITY OF MEN - a thrilling and unforgettable story of friendship and survival in a city where the greatest challenge is growing up.
Having grown up together in the sun-soaked favelas of Rio de Janeiro, best friends Laranjinha and Acerola are about to turn eighteen and face the first difficulties of their adult lives. With the fun and freedom of his youth a thing of the past, Acerola struggles to look after his young son and wife Cristiane, meanwhile Laranjinha has only one dream - to find his estranged father, who he has never met.
